Momchil Yoskov

Story

I'll keep this one short, but in case you want more details, I'll provide you with them, as long as it's not just for shits and giggles. My uncle got me into metal from an early age, but I did not explore metal properly until I got into university. Master's degree from university. Got my first guitar on the 3rd of December 2015. Auditioned for a band and became their vocalist on the 15th of January 2016. We had only two gigs and then it all fell apart due to internal tensions, bad communication and lack of coordination. Now I want to make a new band headed towards extreme metal, because the one in my first band was more classical.

Help popularize the Bulgarian music scene.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

Myself.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

Static-X - Push it.

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

Sodom, Sepultura, Death, Morbid Angel. The Big 4, let's not forget them, but they've taken a back seat recently, because of the aforementioned bands. What else... Kreator, Destruction, Sadus, Vader. There will be many more, because I tend to trudge through a band's discography, once I discover it.

The reality I live in and the music I already know and listen to.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

Hopefully one or many that make sense. Basically saying that there is hope.

Like a god.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

It's always been the same, I feel - no money, lots of ideas (probably) and no connections.

What do you think of Drooble?

Too early to say anything. Just started using it.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

The lack of equipment and the lack of musicians where I live, currently.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

I'd like to support it, but I have no clear idea how to properly do it.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Connections, I suppose. Can't think of anything else.
